Courtney McGowan is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with experience litigating cases both as a prosecutor and a defense attorney. She regularly defends clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors throughout the Hudson Valley. Courtney represents individuals facing serious criminal charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), drug possession, theft charges, weapon charges, violent crimes and homicides.

She has built a reputation as a skilled advocate and developed strong relationships with members of the criminal justice community. She partners with investigators, social workers, forensic psychologists and other expert witnesses to provide the best advocacy for her clients.

Having started her career as a prosecutor, and having tried cases to verdict on both sides, she has a unique perspective that allows her to develop effective strategies tailored to each client’s needs.
